Calculation details & assumptions
Risk budget = balance × risk %. SL pips = |entry − stop| ÷ pip size. Lots = risk budget ÷ (SL pips × USD pip value per lot). Profit uses the same lot size and TP distance. EURUSD: 100,000 units per lot, 0.0001 pip, $10 per pip. XAUUSD: 100 oz per lot, 0.01 pip, $1 per pip.
USDJPY uses 100,000 units per lot and a 0.01 pip. Pip value is 1,000 JPY converted to USD at the entry price, so dollar risk and reward are estimates; conversion at exit can differ. Custom pip value is supplied directly in USD and is authoritative.
Prop limits use the entered balance as the initial balance, with no prior losses, fixed dollar risk per trade and no compounding. “Losses to hit” includes the trade that reaches or exceeds the limit; the detail below each result shows losses strictly below it. Actual prop firm equity, reset and drawdown rules may differ. Fees, spread, slippage and margin are excluded.
